by Nidhi Bhati

India has moved up two places to 103 among 130 nations on the World Economic Forum’s (WEF) Human Capital Index 2017. The WEF index measures a country’s performance on four key areas of human capital development-capacity, deployment, development and know-how. Of the four ares, India scored the highest in development, followed by know-how. The improvement in performance can be attributed to secondary enrolment gender gap, quality of the education system, economic complexity and availability of skilled employees, as per a report in Business Standard.
