MCA extends expiration of names reserved for company incorporation by 20 days

The Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) has extended the expiration of names reserved for company incorporation by 20 days from 31 May 2020 for those reserved names that were expiring between 15-31 May 2020, as per a report in Economic Times. Similarly, the expiration of names reserved for change of name by existing companies has been extended by another 60 days from 31 May 2020. The MCA has granted extension of names reserved for incorporation and change of name by 20 days from 31 May 2020 for limited liability partnerships (LLPs). Further, service requests were extended by 15 days for which the last date of re-submission was falling between 15-31 May, on a case-to-case basis.
