Consumer confidence improves in Feb 2021: Refinitiv-Ipsos

The monthly Refinitiv-Ipsos Primary Consumer Sentiment Index (PCSI) for India surged by 0.9 percentage points in February 2021, showcasing a slight improvement in consumer confidence of urban Indians. The monthly PCSI, which is driven by the aggregation of the four weighted sub-indices, is a mixed bag. The PCSI Employment Confidence Sub-Index is up by 1.5 percentage points, the PCSI Current Personal Financial Conditions Sub-Index by 2.8 percentage points and the PCSI Investment Climate Sub-Index is up by 2.1 percentage points. However, the PCSI Economic Expectations Sub Index is down by 1.3 percentage points. The results are based on findings of an Ipsos online poll conducted between 22 January-5 February 2021.
