The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has enhanced the temporary liquidity limit for states and union territories (UTs) by about 46 per cent to Rs.470.1 billion from Rs.322.3 billion. This increase will help states and UTs tide over their cash flow mismatches. The limit was last enhanced in February 2016 under the ways and means advance (WMA) mechanism.
