EAC-PM projects India's real GDP growth in FY23 to be in range of 7-7.5%
The Economic Advisory Council to the Prime Minister (EAC-PM) has projected India’s real GDP for 2022-23 to grow by 7-7.5 per cent. On a nominal basis, they expect the economy to grow by more than 11 per cent. They also expect contact intensive and construction sectors as well as private investments to recover during the next fiscal. EAC-PM members opined that the 2022-23 Budget must focus on reform measures, transparency and realism in the numbers. In addition, a clear road-map for privatisation and the growth orientation of previous fiscal’s Budget should also be maintained, they said.
