Inflation is set to become broad-based in 2022-23, rising across food, fuel and core inflation, according to CRISIL Ratings. The rating agency expects the average consumer price inflation (CPI) for 2022-23 to come at 6.3 per cent as compared to 5.5 per cent recorded in 2021-22. It also expects the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) to raise repo rates by another 0.75 per cent to one per cent in the rest of the current fiscal.
