Food Corporation of India (FCI) sold a quantity of 888,000 tonnes of wheat under the Open Market Sale Scheme (Domestic) on the first day of e-auction across 22 states on 1 February 2023, as per the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution. FCI offered 2.2 million tonnes out of 2.5 million tonnes wheat stock earmarked for e-auction from the central pool stock.
